Carlos has over 10 years of experience in security, with special focus on OSINT (Open Source Intelligence, process of collecting and analyzing publicly available information from various sources), Pentesting (active authorized  exploitation of specific vulnerabilities in systems and consequent correction), Red Teaming (broader full-on mimic of real-world cyber attack without target necessarily knowing in advance), and Ethical Hacking (other related activities focused on hacking for good to improve security of organizations).

 

Carlos is currently working as direct support to the European cybersecurity leadership at Mediamarkt, electronic retailer valued at ca. $1.3bn with >€10bn annual sales. His past experiences include multiple security roles at Catalonia’s cybersecurity agency, EY’s cybersecurity team, and other undisclosed roles related to the intelligence industry and some of Europe’s most relevant financial institutions.
