Vos estis lux mundi

We have witnessed the profound pain and chaos caused by child abuse, as well as the complexity of addressing it and the difficulty of finding effective solutions. Having had the opportunity to assist in some cases, we became acutely aware of the significant gaps that still exist within the current ecosystem of responses.

Child maltreatment is far more widespread than most people realize. In 2024, more than 300 million children worldwide experienced in-person and/or online sexual exploitation, with victims as young as 0 to 3 years old. An estimated 60% to 90% of cases go unreported, while the black market for child sexual trafficking continues to generate hundreds of billions of dollars in illegal profits.

Inspired by the verse “Vos estis lux mundi” from the Gospel of Matthew 5:15–16, meaning “You are the light of the world,” Luxmundi was founded with the mission of bringing light to the fight against child abuse.

Our approach focuses on developing innovative technology at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity for prevention and detection; enabling private, secure collaboration with organizations and individuals already active in this field; and supporting victims through reliable legal guidance and psychological care.
